Print to demand or shortage of products?
In the last few months, we have been treated with the release of two Scarlet & Violet sets and we are waiting on the release of the next one – Obsidian Flames. Even though the Scarlet & Violet era has brought numerous changes to the TCG, for players and collectors, we keep looking at the prices of sealed products collapsing. With entry prices going up and selling prices going down, we could witness closing of many LGS’s and webshop throught EU, since this kind of business is simply not sustainable. Also, at the moment there is a flood of Scarlet & Violet products with all EU distributors, so you can easily get any product at any moment, without being scared of coming short. So, what does all this mean for S&V 151? Our opinion is that the trend of availability of product will continue, since the interest for Pokemon TCG has been declining in the last few months. You should probably get the products early if their price is good, since we think that the price for the 151 products will be stable for the first month after release. But, afterwards, it could be that the price goes up, since it is a very nostalgic and interesting set, with lots of beautifil art on the cards!
So, what is it all about with this S&V 151 set?
Scarlet & Violet – 151 will be the first Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion to include all 151 original Pokémon from the Kanto region. These Pokémon have been redesigned for the world of Paldea, giving Trainers the opportunity to collect and battle with the beloved and famous Pokémon from the Scarlet & Violet Series. This expansion organizes the cards in the order they appear in the Pokédex and introduces illustration rare and special illustration rare alternate art to reveal a fresh perspective on these Pokémon.
There are “over 160 cards” and 151 will be available on September 22, 2023. 151 booster packs will not be sold in traditional Booster boxes, so look for them in specialty products.
